Registered Nurse (RGN, RNLD, RMN)
37.5 hours per week
£34,741 per annum
Oxfield Court is a nursing home and respite service is a 28-bed service across 5 bungalows based in Huddersfield. This consists of 24 permanent residential beds and 4 respite beds.
We support clients with complex medical needs, behaviours that challenge and specialise in end-of-Life care for people with Learning Disabilities.
No day is ever the same and the clients always make working in our service enjoyable. The main duties of the role will include supporting clients to meet their individual needs. We are experienced in Respiratory care, gastro-intestinal management and robust planning and risk assessment to allow the clients to live fulfilling lives.
All the care we deliver is person centred to the needs of the individual and we develop lasting relationships with families and external multi-disciplinary professionals, who we work closely with to deliver outstanding care.
The complex care we deliver means there is always nursing support available with high ratios of staff.
During the days we have 3 nurses and nursing management and at night we have a mixture of 2 nurses on waking nights or 1 waking nurse and 1 sleeping nurse.
Main duties of the job
Supporting the manager in ensuring that all staff employed within your service are recruited, developed, supported and managed in an appropriate and professional manner.
Responsible, with your manager, for addressing the training and development needs of staff and ensuring that they are reviewed against St. Annes service objectives.Responsible, with your manager, for addressing your own personal development and training needs through PREP and a professional portfolio, based on service objectives.Responsible for supporting the manager in maintaining the quality of the service provided within your defined area.Responsible for supporting your manager in ensuring that you and staff within your service comply with St. Annes values and beliefs, policies and procedures. In addition that any legal or contractual obligations are fully met.
Responsible for supporting your manager in ensuring that your service(s) have access to, and uses, the best current thinking and practice in the delivery of those services.
