This is a unique and exciting opportunity to truly make a difference to the future of mental health support offered in Derbyshire.

The Mental Health Recovery Worker is a key role within the Derbyshire Recovery and Peer Support Service (DRPSS). The service supports people who are having difficulties with their mental health across the whole spectrum of mental illnesses. Contract: Fixed term contract until 31st March 2025 (potential to extend for a further three years, should funding allow)

Reports to: Team Leader (DRPSS/Living Well Erewash)

The role will involve providing support through one-to-one and group intervention to those experiencing mental ill health with the aim of self-management and sustainment for a better quality of life.

The successful candidate will be experienced in providing support to people with a mental illness or providing care in a similar social care service, in either a paid or voluntary capacity.

The role will work from community venues across Erewash, Derbyshire, and there will be a requirement to travel between these venues and our office on a regular basis, therefore a full driving license and access to your own vehicle is essential. The nominated office base for the role will be our head office at the Derby West Business Centre on Ashbourne Road in Mackworth.
