Derbyshire Public Health in partnership with Derbyshire Mind are developing systemwide trauma informed knowledge and approaches across Derbyshire. We are supporting the development of trauma informed practices in our physical and mental health, social care, education, and Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sectors.
Have you got a friendly approach, are self-motivated, with strong organisational and project design skills? Then we need you to help us develop our innovative new programme of work developing trauma informed knowledge across Derbyshire.
We are looking to recruit someone with a passion for improving mental health and wellbeing, experience of leading workforce development projects, strong administrative skills, and a can-do positive approach, to develop systemwide transformation.
Main duties of the job
We want to ensure that this new programme of work is underpinned by principles of collaboration and co-production with our VCSE sector in the county. We also want to make sure that the voice of those with lived experience informs all that we do. This role will take a focus in developing our knowledge and partnerships in these two areas as well as working on the wider TID programme.
The aim is:
To increase awareness, skills, and competencies around trauma informed practice of organisations, professionals, and volunteers
- To support mental wellbeing, health outcomes and the resilience of Derbyshire residents through the systemwide implementation of trauma informed knowledge and approaches
To support workforce wellbeing and effectiveness

Derbyshire Mind is a local independent mental health charity within the
national Mind network. Our focus is on improving mental health and wellbeing
for people across Derby and Derbyshire. We provide a range of advocacy and
community mental wellbeing services designed to support people with mental
health problems as well as the wider population. We have over 50 years experience
of working locally, supporting people in Derby and Derbyshire to maintain good
mental health.
