Job summary
A rare opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic team as a lymphoedema nurse specialist/therapist. Our team provides patient-focused care to patients with lymphoedema throughout Somerset, regardless of cause. This includes patients with primary or secondary lymphoedema as well as those with advanced disease. We also work closely with oncology nurse specialists to monitor patients at high risk of developing lymphoedema, providing education and early detection to improve outcome. We provide a wide range of treatments including compression therapy, manual lymphatic drainage, laser therapy, kineseotaping and exercise groups.

Main duties of the job
The role of lymphoedema nurse specialist/therapist is to provide specialist care and expertise in lymphoedema management for all patients referred to the lymphoedema service, undertaking assessment, diagnosis, and formulation of lymphoedema treatment plans.
To provide specialist advice and education on all aspects of lymphoedema management for patients, carers, relatives and health care professionals
