Job summary
Wigan GP Alliance are expanding our need for a driver.
The successful applicants will need to be helpful, friendly
and professional with a full clean UK driving licence and an excellent
knowledge of the Borough.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to,
ensuring safe transportation of vehicle and Stock/passengers, cleanliness and
security of the vehicle including preparing for the shift and close at the end
of shift.
They must also be confident and comfortable dealing with
people as different circumstances arise.
Applicants must be able to workdays, flexibility with weekend
requirement dependent upon shifts allocated and the organisations needs.
Main duties of the job
The driver will be responsible for the safe transportation of stock and supporting our business requirements within the Wigan borough.
To be confident with driving our fleet of vehicles which include, manual, automatic and electric cars.
The driver is responsible for the cleanliness of the car from the shift to close.
To be confident with the driving around the Wigan borough and some out of area requests.
About us
Wigan GP Alliance is a well-established Primary Care
provider within the Borough of Wigan and Leigh, established in 2015 to respond
to the Prime Ministers Challenge Fund. The Alliance has grown to deliver its
core services and extended its delivery to provide many more services and
additional support for the whole Borough, reacting when required to in times of
need.
We provide services across the whole Borough to a number of
fixed locations.

medical equipment must load into the car at the start of shift cover and again
returned and signed for at the end of the shift.
Accurate
log of cars used and mileage to be recorded in line with the policies and
procedures.
Excellent
communication skills and be able to work professional with the General
practitioners whilst navigating them to the patient.
Regular
checks of all equipment and stock that it is both compliant and safe in line
with regulations.
Employees may be required to undertake additional
duties, particularly when and where others are absent from work. No job title or description can be regarded
as a precise specification of duties but should be a guide to the main
