Job summary

The Family and Bereavement Support Coordinator plays a pivotal role within the St Marys Hospice Family Support Service. This position is instrumental in supporting the development, planning, coordination, and delivery of a comprehensive range of services aimed at providing compassionate care and support to patients and their families during their hospice journey. As the coordinator, you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to assess the needs of patients and their families, particularly focusing on bereavement support. Your responsibilities include coordinating bereavement services, providing individual and group support sessions, and facilitating therapeutic activities to help families navigate the emotional challenges of loss and grief.

Main duties of the job

As a Family and Bereavement Support Coordinator, you will work within the Family Support Service as part of the Compassionate Communities Service. This role involves travel within the St. Marys Hospice geographic and you will have an understanding of the unique needs of each community.
