Job summary

The Sussex Beacon is the only service of its kind in the UK and one of the UKs best known HIV charities.

We provide specialist person-centred inpatient care to people living with HIV. Our 10 bedded unit is staffed by a skilled and motivated team of nursing staff, supported by medical colleagues.

We are looking for a motivated and experienced nurse leader to join the team as Deputy Nurse Manager.

The team of 20 permanent and bank staff provide care to a range of patients living with HIV in the 10-bed unit.

We welcome applications from registered nurses who are clinically current and would like the opportunity to work with an expanding team, including 2 nursing associate roles.

Main duties of the job

You will have at least 5 years post registration experience and be able to support the Nurse Manager to maintain our CQC Outstanding rating through:

Credible clinical leadership

Safe care delivery and maintaining standards

Evidence based practice

Clinical governance and audit

Team support, line management and professional development

Service development.

Based in Brighton, the Sussex Beacon has a community hospital and provides community services for people living with HIV in Sussex and beyond.
