Job summary
Join the Outpatient pharmacy team at Warwick Hospital to deliver a safe, effective, accurate and caring service.
Key results will are:
- Releasing orders
- Checking off, booking in and putting away stock
- Other pharmacy jobs such as date checking.
This role is part time role, working on Mondays and Fridays, eight hours per day including a one hour unpaid lunch break on these days. Working hours are 08:30 to 17:30.
Subject to the Company and individual's performance, an annual discretionary bonus will be awarded.
A benefits package is available to the appointed candidate upon successful completion of the six month probationary period.
Main duties of the job
- Undertakes the day-to-day work of the Pharmacy, which will include releasing orders, receiving & checking off stock.
- Works alongside procurement lead to chase missing orders, to-follows, owing items and monitor stock shortages.
- Offers suggestions to improve the way we work utilising best practices.
- Maintains excellent working relationships and good communications with patients and Trust employees. Contributes to the teamwork ethic so enabling the best possible service and care to patients.
- Ensures confidentiality of commercial and clinical information, which may relate to customers, staff, Company policies, prices, business information; and takes account of requirements of the General Data Protection Regulations, and Freedom of Information legislation.
- Ensures that paperwork is completed accurately and on time, communicates issues as appropriate, and attends meetings as required.
- Complete stock control procedures and has a basic understanding of the robot functions.
- Manages their own personal training and development.
- Any other relevant duties and training requirements at the request of the line Manager.
- Being made accountable for certain aspects of the role at the request of the line Manager.

About us
SWFT Clinical Services is a wholly owned subsidiary of the South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust and provides outpatient pharmacy facilities at Warwick and Stratford and Nuneaton hospitals.
The pharmacies are busy and operate Monday to Friday. The teams work well under pressure and liaise with hospital pharmacists, consultants and clinical staff to ensure safe and accurate dispensing.
