career opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated qualified AfC Band 8b /8c Nurse.
The Deputy Director of Nursing/Clinical Lead is a newly
created key leadership role across Primary Care
24 (PC24), responsible for providing senior nursing leadership and operational
management, whilst supporting and
deputizing when required for the Director of Nursing and Quality (DoNQ)
in key strategic objectives and operational demand resulting from significant
growth of the service.
Main duties of the job
Have both
clinical and operational responsibilities for PC24, working closely with the
Director of Nursing Quality (DONQ), the Senior Nursing Team and the Quality
Governance Team, collaborating with colleagues in the wider organisation, to
ensure patient safety, service quality and excellent patient experience is
maintained consistently.

Job responsibilities
Provide professional leadership and ensure the
development of nursing and AHP practice within the organisation and other
relevant/related areas to facilitate the delivery of excellent clinical
practice.
Support the DONQ in the implementation and
delivery of PC24s Strategic Plan, and supporting strategies and team objectives
(transformation, performance, workforce development etc).
Work in
collaboration with the People Team and the Senior Leadership Team with a range
of strategic and operational activity in supporting the development and
management of the nursing and AHP workforce.
Ensure the standards of care are a priority and competence in
clinical practice is both developed and maintained to maximise patient
experience, safety, and quality of service.
Work in conjunction with Deputy Directors to
support and provide senior leadership and strategic direction across the
organisation ensuring delivery of the quality, governance, performance, and
transformation agendas are met.
