We are seeking 2
innovative and enthusiastic full time/part-time (minimum 30 hours per week)
Trainee Nursing Associates to join our friendly team in TABA+ Primary Care
Network (PCN).
The successful
applicants would preferably have some experience in a health care setting but
we also welcome interested newcomers to this field of work.
Nursing Associates
bridge the gap between Healthcare support workers and registered nurses and
the programme leads to registration as a Nursing Associate with the NMC.
This is a
developmental role and the trainee will work towards progression into the post
of Nursing Associate through successful completion of the Nursing Associate
training programme, which includes the attainment of a two-year level 5
Foundation Degree equivalent qualification. To undertake this qualification you
should have as a minimum:
GCSE Maths and English at grade 9-4 (A-C) or
Functional skills
Level 2 in Maths and English
The post is based
in TABA+ Primary Care Network and will involve working across 1 or 2 practices
with day release to attend the university programme.
The expectation is that the post holder will be available to work and to study for the two years of the course and a minimum of one year after completing studies.
Interviews will take place on Tuesday 9 July 2024.
Main duties of the job
This is a clinical
role working under the supervision of a Practice Nurse and strictly in
accordance with specific practice guidelines and protocols. The Trainee Nursing
Associate will assist and support the practice clinical team in the provision
and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care.
Working in
accordance with the NMC Code of Conduct and practice agreed protocols and
guidance, the post-holder will provide assessment, treatment, screening, health
education services and advice to patients.

Boothstown and Astley areas covering a population of circa. 59,000 patients. We
are a dynamic, forward looking PCN with a growing team of Additional
Reimbursable Roles Staff (ARRS) such as pharmacists, paramedics, physios, TNAs,
pharmacy technicians, community link workers, care co-ordinators and mental
health workers working across the PCN. You would be part of this
expanding, innovative team.

communicate proactively and effectively with all MDT colleagues across
the PCN, attending and contributing to meetings as required.
maintain accurate and contemporaneous patient health records; and
