Job summary

Are you a creative individual with a passion for crafting compelling visual content that connects with audiences and drives engagement? Were looking for a Marketing Content Designer with multimedia skills to join our busy Marketing team and help bring our brand to life!

You will work closely with colleagues across the Hospice designing and producing printed, digital and audio-visual content and assets that drive the charitys key messages, increase awareness of the amazing work we do here at Willen Hospice, and help raise vital funds by encouraging supporter engagement.

Main duties of the job

What you will do:

Play a key role in shaping the visual identity of our campaigns.

Lead on capturing and editing photo and video content for events, interviews, and day-to-day Hospice activity.

Create digital and print assets, including social media graphics, website content, email visuals, leaflets, posters, event materials and point of sale assets for our shops.

Manage the in-house design studio, ensuring efficient briefing, clear timelines, and smooth revision processes, while providing guidance on design and format as needed.

Act as a brand guardian, ensuring consistent application of brand guidelines across all communications.

What you will need:

You must have excellent graphic design skills, with knowledge of Canva Pro and the Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, and experience using video production software (Premier Pro or similar).

You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to work to deadlines, manage time and prioritise your workload efficiently. You will also have a good eye for design, taking inspiration from external marketing campaigns and a fresh take on the current look and feel of our branding materials. Youll be supported to further develop your skills if you join our creative & knowledgeable team.

Collaborate with the Marketing team and internal departments to deliver design projects from concept to completion.

Create digital and print assets, including social media graphics, website content, email visuals, leaflets, posters, event materials and point of sale assets for our shops.

Ensure all design work aligns with the Willen Hospice brand, maintaining consistency and creativity.

Act as a brand guardian, ensuring consistent application of brand guidelines across all communications.

Photography & videography

Assist in producing creative assets that help tell impactful stories and inspire support across multiple channels.

Stay up to date with creative trends and share ideas to continuously improve our marketing output.

Studio & workflow management

Manage the in-house design studio, ensuring efficient briefing, clear timelines, and smooth revision processes, while providing guidance on design and format as needed.

Liaise with printers and external suppliers as necessary to ensure high production quality and timely delivery of print materials.

Manage the Hospice media library and archive, ensuring assets are kept up to date and selecting the most suitable content for design and marketing projects.

Maintain and update the quality and range of pop-up banners and promotional materials used across departments, ensuring they reflect current messaging and that a clear check-in/check-out system is in place.

Other creative support and development

Stay up to date with design trends and emerging technologies, sharing insights to help enhance the creativity and effectiveness of our marketing communications.

Support the wider Marketing team with content and creative tasks as needed.

Carry out any other reasonable duties requested by the Marketing Manager or Head of Marketing.
