This is a Rotational post working across our In-Patient and Willen at Home teams
We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to rotate between our In-Patient Unit and Willen at Home community team.
We are welcoming candidates looking for a truly rewarding position, who want to deliver the highest quality of care and demonstrate our Hospice Values, and are keen to join a caring, compassionate and diverse multi-disciplinary team delivering care of the highest quality.
It is desirable, but not essential for you to have any previous palliative or oncology care and/or community experience, as you will receive a full induction and ongoing support.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will have responsibility for the assessment of patient needs, planning, delivering and evaluating patient care, playing an active role within our team. It's all about giving our patients the best possible quality of life, the support we offer is tailored to meet individuals' medical, social, spiritual and emotional needs.With an attractive staff to patient ratio, this is an opportunity to make a real difference to individualised patient care.
You should be confident working alone, must hold a driving license and own your own car
Our IPU is operational 24 hours, 7 days a week and ourWillen at Home service operates between 8am to 8pm,7 days a week.
As this post is rotational, we are looking for candidates who can offer flexibility in working night shifts and weekends.

Set in the tranquil grounds of Willen Lake, Willen Hospice is the leading provider of specialist palliative care within the Milton Keynes area. We offer 24 hour seven days a week palliative care to people who have advanced disease, caring for people in our Inpatient Unit which accommodates 15 patients and the local community. Our person centred care is delivered with compassion and respect for peoples wishes. We have an expanding Therapeutic & Wellbeing service offering Psychological Wellbeing, Social Care, Physiotherapy, Occupational and Complementary Therapy.
