Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities: Creating, developing & implementing strategies to engage major gift donors to meet growing targets Drive the growth of major gift income through maximising relationships and events Leading projects ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategy Work closely with wider Fundraising team and Marketing and Communications to deliver income growth What We're Looking For: Excellent networking skills to build prospects and partnerships Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to engage and inspire High level proficiency in CRM Previous experience in charity sector and proven ability to secure large gifts Project management skills Strong understanding of charity sector and fundraising regulations

Reporting to:Head of Partnership Giving Accountable to: Responsible for:Associate Director Supporter Engagement One direct report Philanthropy Partner Responsible for team target Accountable for budget of £0.5M plus (Gross) Key Stakeholders:Executive Director Innovation, Digital and Engagement Senior Leadership Team Fundraising Team Marketing & Communications Team Quality, Governance & Data Team Job Purpose: Responsible for creating, developing and implementing strategies to acquire, retain, and engage those that are able to make major gifts to support the work of Keech Hospice with a clear income generation focus to meet ambitious and growing targets. Lead the development and execution of innovative prospect research, cultivation and stewardship strategies to engage and enhance donor experience with a variety of key stakeholders. Drive the growth of major gift income through the maximisation of relationships and bespoke, high-level cultivation and income generation events. Responsibility for the budgeting, prospect research, decision making, cultivation and engagement of major donors and high-net-worth individuals, with a clear focus on journeys of support and increasing life-time value. Work closely with the fundraising and Marketing & Comms Team to deliver income growth. Optimise success rates and build, improve and use cases for support for the target audience. Gather and collate optimal information from internal stakeholders to transfer into excellent storytelling to support asks and build relationships. Use data insights and evaluation to drive fundraising strategies and improve income success. Lead multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic goals and manage a programme of major gift activity and reporting to ensure compliance and maximising ambitious growth. Work collaboratively across teams to drive a test and learn approach, ensuring our supporter data is optimised and all systems are capitalised to meet the charitys needs. Specific Duties: Leadership, Strategy Development and Implementation: To support and report upon the fundraising strategic plan and operational plans for the partnership giving team, achieving agreed budgets. To provide strong leadership, direction and performance management within the philanthropy team, building a values-led environment. Creating clear objectives, KPIs and personal development plans. Develop and execute a comprehensive major gift strategy, operational plan and associated budget with a focus on income growth and maximisation of fundraising potential. Plan and manage a major gift pipeline to diversify income streams and maximise revenue in the long-term. Regularly research opportunities to achieve metrics and improve long-term ROI in corporate giving. Engagement and Stewardship Research, identify, cultivate, maintain and enhance personalised relationships with new and existing donors through timely acknowledgments, recognition, and engagement in organisational events, collaborating with other teams as appropriate. Create and deliver upon strategic plans for increased income from your target audience Accountable that all presentations, asks and reporting adheres to funder requirements and the needs of our business. Represent the organisation at relevant events to engage across our referral area to promote awareness and major gift opportunities. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyse fundraising data to track performance, identify trends, and inform decision-making. Prepare regular reports on performance, agreed KPIs, and financial outcomes. Prepare detailed financial revenue analysis and progress reports for analysis, management, key stakeholders and other fundraising teams. Collaboration and coordination: Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure cohesive implementation of the annual giving plan from research to evaluation. Collaborate with other departments to align fundraising efforts with organisational goals, with a clear focus on CEO, Board members and senior management. Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest trends in major gift fundraising. Test and implement new fundraising methods to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Work with the fundraising team, bridging into the highest relationships, to develop new ideas and best practices to improve donor retention and increase annual income. Build and grow major gift fundraising programmes, including but not exclusively our Patron and Ambassador progromme, high-level events and interactions with our Board of Trustees, leading on excellent processes and developing compelling proposals to achieve success. Compliance, Administrative and Project Management: Ensure all major gift fundraising activities comply with UK fundraising regulations and best practices. Build, monitor and control the growth to million pound budget plans, reforecasting when necessary, ensuring all resources are used effectively. Manage operations of the major gift programme, ensuring all activities are completed accurately, on time and within budget. Maintain accurate records of donor communications and support with improvement and updating of donor management systems regularly.
