Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities: Increase engagement and maximise income from events Support with the development and delivery of events, activities and campaigns Develop and maintain strong relationships with eventers Support the analysis of donor data to guide decision making Work closely with the Marketing and Communications team to deliver marketing activity What We're Looking For: Excellent written and verbal communication to engage and inspire Understanding of supporter/customer engagement strategies and the importance of the supporter experience Previous experience in event, fundraising and/or marketing Familiarity with CRM databases Understanding of the charity sector and fundraising regulations

Job responsibilities

Job Purpose: Support with developing and implementing strategies to increase engagement and maximise income from events across all fundraising teams to meet ambitious targets. This includes managing the day-to-day processes of specific projects as required, including, but not exclusively the set up management and operational activity involved with our own events.. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with eventers, ensuring excellent stewardship utilising compelling cases for support. As well as with suppliers and internal teams through good project management skills. Work as needed with the wider fundraising and Marketing & comms team to align fundraising activities with the organisation's vision, mission, and strategic aims. Hold a key role in securing third-party activity and developing new events ensuring our existing and new eventers receive the support they require to fulfil a mutually beneficial relationship maximising income. Use data insights and evaluation to drive fundraising strategies and improve supporter engagement. Work collaboratively across teams to embrace a test and learn approach, ensuring our supporter data is optimised and all systems are used to meet the charitys needs. Specific Duties: Support with the development and delivery of events, activities and campaigns: Work with the Public Fundraising Team to create and manage a calendar of internal and external activities, including support for charity of the year applications, high-level events and awareness activities. To lead on maximising income from eventers in third-party activities, supporting the securing income from a range of stakeholders from within the regional, corporate and private sectors. Utilise a mix of channels such as direct mail, telephone, face-to-face interactions, and digital platforms to reach potential eventers. Engagement and Stewardship: Working with the Events Partner Identify, cultivate, and solicit new support through the delivery of highly-professional and engaging events. Understand and support the implementation of strategic plans for your target audience. Maintain and enhance relationships with existing supporters through timely acknowledgments, recognition, and engagement in organisational events, collaborating with other teams as appropriate. Data Analysis and Reporting: Support the analysis of donor data and link into the external landscape to support decision making around the build and implementation of new and audience focussed events. Support the preparation of detailed financial revenue analysis and progress reports for management and other fundraising teams. Undertake post activity analysis, reporting on response rates, income/costs against budget and capturing learnings to drive the events programme forward. Collaboration and Coordination: Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure cohesive implementation of the annual giving plan from research to evaluation. Collaborate closely with the marketing and comms team on compliant and clear plans for marketing activity, delivering to time. Support the coordination of events for other fundraising teams, advising on all risk, health and safety and calendar planning. Innovative Fundraising Strategies, test and learn: Work with the fundraising team to develop new ideas and best practices to improve donor retention and increase annual gift amounts. Working with external suppliers, ensure value for money and that internal procurement processes are followed Administrative and Project Management: Manage your agreed day-to-day operations of the events programme, ensuring all activities are completed accurately, on time and within budget. Contribute to the budgeting process. Maintain accurate records of donor communications and update donor management systems regularly.   • Qualifications in English and Maths at Grade 5 or above (or alternative)

Desirable

  • Completion of relevant training courses in fundraising and/or events management.
  • Professional certification in fundraising, such as the Certificate in Fundraising from the Chartered Institute of Fundraising (CIOF)

Experience

  • Experience within an events, fundraising, and/or marketing environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage & inspire.
