Temporary GP Receptionist

Job summary

Rochdale Health Alliance is looking for a Temporary GP Receptionist for Ghafoor's Family Practice.

The role is to cover maternity leave for a period of 12 months.

The hours of work are 14.00pm-18.30pm Monday to Friday

Main duties of the job

Greeting and booking patients for surgeries and clinics

Dealing with patient enquiries efficiently and courteously

Receiving and recording of telephone messages then taking appropriate action

Making appointment on EMIS, by processing appointment requests for on the day, future appointments for patients in person and on the telephone

Pulling and filing medical records as necessary

Taking home visit requests

Receiving specimens from patients ensure all their details have been recoded whilst following health and safety protocols

Tidying waiting room after surgery, tidy and sort leaflets, discarding old and damaged items as necessary

In the performance of the duties outlined in this job description, the post holder may have access to confidential information relating to patients and their carers, practice staff and other healthcare workers.
