RHA has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and driven individual to join our organisation to support our local primary care networks and take on the role of Primary Care Network Business Support Officer.
The Post Holder will be a key member of the team and the role will include supporting our member practices to deliver the strategic and operational aims of the PCN.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to develop and establish strong collaborative relationships with practices and all stakeholders. Internally these include, practice members of the PCN, RHA and, externally, the CCG, and most importantly, the PCN Patients.
As the role of Primary Care Networks, within the NHS, develops it is envisaged that the demands and requirements of the post will increase over time.
Job Summary:
- To play a pivotal role in the delivery of high-quality primary health care within the PCN.
- Support the PCN Clinical Director, DTL and the member practices to ensure the smooth running of the PCN.
- To support the day to day management of the PCN including arranging meetings, taking meeting minutes, supporting ARRS staff, ordering stock, helping with patient queries.
- To support the production of performance and quality reports within the PCN and other network Initiatives.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Point of contact, alongside the Clinical Director and DTL for PCN Practice
Managers regarding delivery of PCN projects/schemes.
- Support the induction of new PCN staff.
- Management and administrative support of monthly meetings, including
organising and taking minutes.
- Eventual management/Co-ordination of the ARRS Rota / Hub rota.
- Provide project management support for new and existing opportunities.
Organisational:- To oversee and support others with the administration of PCN.
- Support the PCN Clinical Director and DTL to develop strategic and
operational planning processes to support the PCNs objectives.
- Support PCN Clinical Director and DTL with writing business and development
plans as required.
Welfare:- Help with the organising of PCN events.
- Working Relationships: to work as a flexible member of the PCN, providing
support to other team members when necessary.
- To take an active role in the development and embedding of PCNs culture,
values and reputation as providers of high-quality services.
- Encourage supporting staff to collaborate through sharing information and
intelligence across different activities.
