Job summary
Working alongside our social workers, you will also be part of
the wider hospice patient and family support team, assisting and supporting
timely, creative, person centred support, that enables people to make informed
choice and manage their health, wellbeing and lives independently, for as long
as possible.
With
at least two years of experience with a social care provider you will
demonstrate an ability to promote enablement and self-determination and have
excellent communication, organisational and assessment skills
Main duties of the job
You will need to have excellent communication, organisational
and social work assessment skills. We offer you the opportunity to develop or
enhance your professional skills through working with individuals and families
facing advanced disease, death and bereavement. You will develop a clear
understanding of the social, psychological and spiritual needs of individuals
and their families, and of working within a hospice setting.
We are looking for enthusiastic, skilled individual who enjoys
working as part of a team and are passionate about providing excellent holistic
palliative care. You will have a firm commitment to working collaboratively,
with clinical professionals and volunteers both internally and throughout our
local community.
Some local travel is essential.

North London Hospice has been providing palliative and end of life care for the
communities of North London since 1984. We have an 18 bed in-patient unit
providing hospice care for those with life limiting illnesses.
