Salary: £41,750 - £42,303 dependant on experience plus London Fringe Allowance £1,250 pro rata

Main duties of the job

The Role & Person

The successful applicant will be a member of the multi-disciplinary team and have good communication and interpersonal skills. There is an expectation that the post holder will seek to develop their skills in the specialist area.

You should be in receipt of a Degreeor Diploma in Social Work or equivalent and have some experience with Mental Health Legislation including the Care Programme Approach

Joining our friendly social work team, you will be managed by a Lead Social Worker and are accountable to a Clinical Lead. We provide regular supervision, annual performance review and opportunities for development.

The applicant will need to qualified with at least 2 years post qualifying experience, and preferably some post qualifying education in either practice educating, BIA or AMHP.

You will be responsible for providing supervision to other social workers, undertaking investigations and leading on safeguarding.

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Social Worker within St Andrews Essex. TheEssex Service provides recovery and rehabilitation treatmentfor low securemental health service users with mental illness, as well as those with forensic background. The service in Essex caters for around75 adult service users, with Acute Mental Illness, Complex needs, Psychiatric Intensive Care and Locked Rehabilitation.
