Graduate Physiotherapist

About the post
Every fourth patient you meet will be challenged by mental illness.
We want you to be a great newly qualified physiotherapist for St Andrews Healthcare, but we also want you to be a champion for mental well-being wherever your career takes you in the future.
We will develop you and help you to enhance your therapeutic tool box, with skills that help you to manage a patients physical needs when their mental well-being becomes a barrier to their physical recovery; to help you cultivate physical techniques that bolster your patients emotional well-being. We will equip you with the ability to work in any physiotherapy specialism and be capable of managing serious mental illness in any setting, within your scope of practice.
Yes we want you to be a brilliant physiotherapist, but we want to help you to become more; to become a lifelong mental health champion for the here and now and for wherever you may find yourself in the future.
We are currently working with our partners in the NHS to build a rotation into this role; to give you the rounded graduate experience that you crave and to take advantage of your passion to bust stigmas in a variety of healthcare settings.
Main duties of the job
Whilst working within the charity, however, you will be responsible for providing excellent care; assessing and delivering therapeutic interventions to patients across our Northampton site, with the support of our team of specialist/highly specialist mental health physiotherapists.
Being energetic, fun (a good sense of humour is essential), bubbly, out-going, and a proactive role model is an advantage. Having a passion to think about and deliver a rounded package of engaging activities such as dance, games, challenges, etc. is essential in motivating our patients; as is being able to make a fool of yourself (our patients engage best when they see that were not perfect either!)

You will:
