Are you a brilliant nursing leader looking for your next challenge?

Following an internal promotion, we are looking to appoint to this exciting high profile role accountable to our Director of Nursing. You will work closely with the Clinical Director and Service Director and be responsible for providing quality nursing leadership across our Medium Secure Division.

We are looking for candidates on either a Fixed Term or Permanent Basis

Main duties of the job

Your key accountabilities will cover Nursing and Quality Standards, Clinical Supervision, Patient Safety and Experience, Safer Staffing and Workforce Safeguards, and Quality Improvement Plans.

In this key post you will support the Charity to deliver against its quality and strategic plans, to remain compliant with its regulatory framework, to provide safe, effective quality care for patients, and support to frontline staff.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining a culture of quality and productivity to improve patient care and services by analysis of complex data and information, developing and implementing solutions to enhance quality and meet performance targets in line with the Charity's Quality and Governance Framework.

You will be responsible for creating an open, accountable culture where teams are confident and skilled in giving regular, constructive feedback, where issues can be raised and solved openly, leading to a productive solution focused working environment.

You will also lead a culture of quality improvement that produces new ideas, approaches, innovation or insights, ensuring that plans are developed and taken forward to improve patient care and services.

  • You will be an outstanding communicator with strong influencing, motivational and negotiation skills. You will have a strong track record of achieving significant quality improvements within mental health services.
  • You will have the ability to analyse complex clinical issues/problems, identify necessary action and make recommendations and follow these through. You will also have a high level knowledge of all current issues, including regulatory requirements related to professional nursing practice and mental health services.
  • You will have both the breadth and depth of skills to fulfil the role described above and high levels of resilience to lead and embed significant change.
