An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Leeds GP Confederations (the Confed) operational team as Service Support Officer.This
is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an innovative, close-knit team
delivering a range of Primary Care services for the population of Leeds. As an
integral part of the operational team, you will be providing administrative
support specifically to the Leeds Community Dermatology service.
The
Service Support Officer will work alongside the Business and Operations Manager
and Service Delivery Manager to contribute to the achievement of service
objectives to benefit Community Dermatology Providers and service users.
The
post-holder will be a key member of the operational team, playing an active
part in the delivery of services.
Main duties of the job
The Service Support Officer will be an integral part of the team, providing administrative and operational support to the Leeds Community Dermatology service. They will develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for all aspects of work and act as an initial point of contact for telephone and email queries; effectively responding to enquires and issues.
The role will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of business and operational administration support for the work undertaken by the contract management team, escalating risks or issues to the appropriate person.
The role will participate and contribute to various service delivery and contract meetings and complete actions within planned time whilst also contributing to ongoing development and continuous improvement of the Community Dermatology service.
The postholder will take a proactive approach in providing day-to-day support to business operations.

Essential
- English and Maths to GCSE Level A-C or equivalent qualification.
- Must be willing to participate in any relevant training identified to develop skills required to carry out duties
Desirable
- Administration/ Customer Care or equivalent qualification
Experience

- Experience of working in a busy office environment where working to deadlines and multi-tasking is essential
- Meeting management including minute taking and distribution of meetings materials such as agendas
- Customer service skills, ideally with service users or members of the public
- Data entry and data management experience, with attention to accuracy
Desirable
- Experience working within the NHS, local authority or public sector, with an understanding of system pressures
- Involvement with project or service delivery support
