Main duties of the job
Now, as our service continues to grow, we're looking for a passionate and people-focused Community Fundraiser to join our friendly, driven and dynamic Supporter Relations Team and help us reach even more families.
Location: You will be based at the Hospice in Loughborough full time with the requirement to travel around the East Midlands for events and meetings.
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday 9:00am 5:00pm with requirement to work evenings/weekends for events and fundraising activities.

Here at Rainbows Childrens Hospice, we provide specialist palliative care and end-of-life support to over 750 Babies, Children, and Young People living with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, as well as approximately 3,000 people, including families, siblings, and carers, across the East Midlands. Simply put, were here to brighten short lives and support families, wherever they are.

About the role
As Community Fundraiser, you will be responsible for delivering relationship fundraising activity within a defined geographical area. This includes building and managing relationships with:
Community Groups
Schools
Local Authorities
Community-based Businesses
Individual Supporters
With a focus on generating income, you'll work to strengthen connections and inspire people to support Rainbows through donations, events, and volunteering.
Some of the key responsibilities include (but not limited to):
Growing income by developing relationships with supporters in your area.
Maximising donor engagement, retention and loyalty through meaningful relationship management.
Coordinating and delivering community fundraising activities and supporting third-party fundraisers.
Ensuring compliance with the Fundraising Code of Practice.
Maintaining accurate records and data using our CRM system.
Collaborating with colleagues to deliver tailored communication and cultivation strategies.
Recruiting, training and supporting proactive volunteers to represent Rainbows in the community.

Building relationships with individuals from all walks of life.
Delivering presentations or speaking confidently to groups.
Communicating clearly and effectively both in writing and verbally.
