Hours: 37.5 hours, 5 days per week (Part time considered)

Bases: Westcotes Dental Clinic, Fosse Road South, Leicester, LE3 0LP

Merlyn Vaz Health & Social Care Centre, Spinney Hill Road, Leicester, LE5 3GH

Salary: 74,126 - £86,701 per annum (pro rata if part time)

Community Dental Services CIC are looking for a senior clinician who identifies with our values as a Social Enterprise and is passionate about providing care for those most at need.

Applications are invited from enthusiastic dentists for the post of Senior Dental Officer based primarily in our clinics at Westcotes Dental Clinic and Merlyn Vaz Health Centre. Leicester has a high dental need and is a service providing a wide range of care.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will deliver dental care and advice to patients and their carers from community groups, including patients with additional needs, who are clients of Community Dental Services. Services to be provided include preventive care and advice, dental treatment, care under sedation and general anaesthesia, and epidemiological field work. Peripatetic cover will be required to support clinics across the county including domiciliary care and epidemiological surveys.

Working at other locations to support the client group will be required including domiciliary care and local hospitals. Community Dental Services encourages postgraduate education and development. Mentorship and training will be provided to support this if required.
