Job summary

The purpose of this role is to use project management skills to ensure the successful coordination and implementation of opportunities and growth projects. This role will also deliver a research and administration function for the Strategy and Innovation Team to enable us to reach our collective team goals. This role is a full time, permanent role, working flexible between our offices in Brighton and from home.

This role will form part of our newly set up Strategy and Innovation Team (SIT) at Here. The SIT’s purpose is to enable growth across the organisation. SIT is responsible for Discovery, Sharing Learning, Creating Curiosity, Building Capability Building Sustainability and Supporting Mobilisation around our growth strategy. Other members of the SIT include Director of Strategy and Innovation, Head of Strategy and Innovation, Head of Marketing and Communications, Development and Mobilisation Lead. It is an exciting time to join this team as we look to create new ways of working across Here to enable everyone to thrive.

Main duties of the job

You will lead on:

  • Project Management for growth projects and opportunities
  • SIT administration
  • Market research in line with our priorities
  • Supporting business development processes to operate well
  • Own and update key documents to track progress and opportunities
  • Monitor impact measures for us as a SIT and for the growth of the business, support reporting of these into key groups

Job responsibilities

Project Management

  • Use project management skills to plan and deliver a number of complex projects
  • Use clear language to create and manage project documents i.e. project plans, risk logs, evaluations
  • Co-ordinate multiple diaries (internal and external) of key stakeholders to ensure project goals are met to a high quality, on time and within budget
  • Act as a first point of contact for projects, undertaking initial analysis of risks and issues and offering advice on the appropriate course of action
  • Manage internal and external relationships to enable the smooth running of projects, opportunities and partnerships
  • Deliver project evaluations and progress reports

Administration

  • Coordinate SIT leadership dairies to schedule key meetings and attendance at exhibitions and events
  • Attend meetings and transcribe any minutes and notes as required
  • Format and proofread documents, highlighted and fixing errors
  • Ensure appropriate electronic and paper filing systems are in place for the SIT

Research and business development

  • Use research skills, search tools and techniques to conduct market research i.e. competitors, potential partnerships policy changes, funding opportunities
  • Produce accurate and concise profiles to summarise a complete picture of a customer, partner and opportunity or area
  • Monitor procurement portals and undertake regular searches for tender / business opportunities. Flag up opportunities in a timely manner
  • Support the coordination, research and writing of proposals for new opportunities

Quality, learning and impact

  • Work with Head of Strategy and Innovation to track and report on innovation metrics and success of SIT team
  • Share learning with other project coordinators and make recommendations for new ways of working to improve efficiency and impact. Coordinate the implementation of new ways of working.
  • Own the SIT risk log and coordinate incident, complaints and plaudits
  • Undertake proactive learning and personal development.
  • Carry out any other appropriate duties as determined by the Head of Strategy and Innovation

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to write in plain English and translate complex text and issues into clear language. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Highly development organisational skills
  • Ability to influence, negotiate and persuade
  • Ability to work to deadlines with competing demands on your time.
  • Ability to prioritise effectively and confident in seeking advice when needed
