Job summary

This key role will work with the existing Fellview Practice Manager to jointly lead the effective day to day operation of this large 4 site practice; ensuring that services are delivered safely and effectively. You will be part of a locality leadership team working closely with our Lead GPs and other Practice Managers, supported by the wider corporate management team.

The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge and understanding of Primary Care along with extensive people management experience. You will be passionate about patient experience with a focus on service improvement, transformation and collaboration. The ability to prioritise a high workload and deadlines along with experience of financial monitoring and reporting are also key. Additionally, it is essential that the candidate has a genuine commitment to the needs of the local community, a high level of personal resilience, operates with integrity and has high ethical standards.

Main duties of the job

The primary role of the Practice Manager is to ensure the effective day to day operation of the practice; ensuring that quality services are delivered safely and effectively. The post holder will work with delegated responsibility for the non-clinical activity at the practice and will work with other Practice Managers/Service Delivery Leads across practice sites within the wider Locality.

Working with the GP and Nursing Leads the post holder will ensure that quality services are delivered, staff and patients remain safe and services are delivered within delegated budgets and in adherence to agreed standards, policies and procedures. The first point of call for practice staff, the Practice Manager will liaise with other colleagues across NCPC sites to develop solutions to operational challenges and develop effective and efficient services. The Practice Manager will be expected to provide cover for other Practice Managers / Sites, if required.
