Job summary
As a Crisis Recovery Worker, you will support individuals experiencing mental health challenges, delivering a recovery-focused service that promotes independence and inclusion. You will work with people who may also have additional needs, including autistic traits, learning disabilities, physical health conditions, and substance misuse.
Main duties of the job
You will support individuals experiencing mental health challenges by delivering a person-led, recovery-driven service that focuses on building independence and improving overall wellbeing. You will work with people who may also present with additional needs such as autistic traits, learning disabilities, physical health conditions, or substance misuse. Using your experience in community mental health settings, you will take a proactive approach to engaging individuals, helping them overcome barriers and move towards meaningful personal outcomes. This will involve a mix of direct support, including one-to-one sessions and group-based activities, alongside connecting individuals to wider services and opportunities within the community. You will play an active role in creating a supportive and structured environment, contributing to day-to-day service delivery, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring individuals receive consistent, high-quality support. Working closely with Peer Support Workers and clinical professionals, you will contribute to a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach. This includes coordinating with external services where needed and supporting individuals to develop practical skills that aid their recovery and long-term stability.
