Crisis Recovery Worker
Hours: 20 hours per week
Location: Maidstone Safe Haven, Kestrel House, Knightrider Street, Maidstone Kent, ME15 6LU
Shifts: 6pm to 11pm, 5 evenings a week across 7 days (Mon - Sun)
Salary: £13,844.48 - £15,286.61 per annum (£25,958.40- £28.662.40 FTE)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Crisis Recovery Worker to join our established team in Maidstone.
About the role:
We are looking for an experienced, compassionate and qualified person to provide a high quality, recovery focused support to our clients who have a range of mental health needs as well as other support needs including learning disabilities, physical health issues and substance misuse, whilst promoting independence and social inclusion.
We work in close partnership with other professionals, so we require good communication skills and advocacy for the people who we support.
About you:
You will require advanced experience and understanding of complex mental health needs displaying emotional intelligence to those who you support. You will be driven with recovery focused support and be able to implement and evidence support in the recovery work you provide. There is a need for enhanced understanding of IT systems and record keeping ensuring a high standard of data recording.
You will need to work well as a team that provides compassion and advocacy for people who access our service, ensuring diligent hand overs are provided as well as team decision making ensuring there in consistency in the care and service we offer.

Duties to include:
* To deliver emotional support, advice and guidance via face to face, telephone, and video.
* To assess a situation to determine risk and the needs of the person accessing support.
* To make decisions under pressure whilst communicating with the person accessing support.
* To accurately record new contacts and details of visits and calls on relevant electronic systems.
* To work in line with performance targets and key contractual requirements, providing data and case studies as requested.
* To advise and be actively involved in individual risk assessment and review.
* Where identified, an appropriate action plan/safety plan will be put in place to meet individual's needs.
* To encourage those accessing support to recognise, understand and manage factors that affect their mental wellbeing and physical health
* To work with a range of partners, stakeholders and external agencies to meet individual's needs and support with individual safety and delivery of the service
