Main duties of the job

To provide leadership and management to a team to delivery high quality, safe and effective Crisis service in support of the organisation's mission, values and strategy. Ensure the team are responsive to the needs of people in an honest, nonjudgemental and open manner which respects the rights of individuals and groups. Promote the profile and reputation of MHM by building and maintaining positive relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including relevant professional networks and individuals who access our services, and keeping up to date with best practice in the field. Crisis Service Manager (Fixed term 12 months) Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week, working 9am-5pm, with flexibility to support services that operate 24 hours a day. Salary: £38,397 with progression to £42,723 per annum Location: Home based, with expectation of travel within the Kent and Medway area, with travel to head office every 6 months. About the role We have an exciting and new opportunity for a Crisis Service Manager to join our growing Kent and Medway team. This role is supporting operations, working with teams across Kent and Medway, with focus on our Community services operating 6pm-11pm. The role is Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, however there will need to be flexibility to support service visits within operational hours. The Kent safe havens are an out of hours crisis alternative to Accident and Emergency for individuals facing crisis or heading towards a mental health crisis. The purpose of the role is to provide leadership and management to deliver high quality, safe and effective Crisis services in support of the organisation's mission, values and strategy. You will be ensuring the team are responsive to the needs of people in an honest, non-judgemental and open manner which respects the rights of individuals and groups. Work will include promoting the profile and reputation of MHM by building and maintaining positive relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including relevant professional networks and individuals who access our services, and keeping up to date with best practice in the field. We are looking for experienced, compassionate and organised person to work with team to focus support to our clients who have a range of mental health needs as well as other support needs including learning disabilities, physical health issues and substance misuse, whilst promoting independence and social inclusion. About you To be successful in this role, you will need to have: *An understanding of the mental health landscape within Kent and Medway. *Have exceptional communication skills. *Experience of systems and data recording *Advanced understanding of complex mental health need. *The ability to engage with a range of people. *Auditing experience. *Financial management experience. *People management experience.
