Main duties of the job

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Crisis Recovery Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in crisis, helping to assess their needs, provide emotional guidance, and promote mental health and wellbeing. This position involves working in a fast-paced environment with clients experiencing mental health challenges, contributing to a supportive team, and working in partnership with local agencies and external networks.

  • Collaboration: Work alongside a range of external partners to support clients' safety and ensure the delivery of a high-quality service.
  • Team Contribution: Collaborate with colleagues, sharing information and resources to enhance service provision.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute positively to the development of service practices and suggest new ways of working.
  • Requirements Essential:
  • Qualifications: Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care or similar, with a willingness to complete a Level 3 qualification within 12 months of employment.
  • Experience: Previous experience or lived experience working with people facing mental health challenges, and experience in record-keeping.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, basic mental health knowledge, ability to handle sensitive issues, and strong IT skills (Microsoft Office).
  • Personal Attributes: Flexibility, resilience, and the ability to work well in a team as well as independently.
  • Desirable:
  • Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with statutory and non-statutory agencies, experience in needs assessment, and crisis de-escalation skills.
