Job summary

This a hybrid working role where your working hours will be split between home and office. As an EA you will work with a good degree of autonomy and will be expected to manage your own time and caseload. If you enjoy variety, believe in empowering others to achieve their own success and would like to be a part of something making a real difference, then this role is for you.

Main duties of the job

You will work alongside therapists in delivering an integrated package of person-centred care for your clients. Your role will be varied and broad in nature. One day you might be completing a CV review, a mock interview and delivering assertiveness training. The next, you might be liaising with the Job Centre Plus, advocating on your client's behalf with their employer or heading out into the community to build relationships and raise awareness.

About the service You will work in NHS Warrington Talking Therapies (WTT), Warrington's local Talking Therapies service. Specifically, you will join our Employment Support team, working alongside clinicians in supporting the recovery of and delivering exceptional outcomes for our service users. About the role As an Employment Advisor (EA), your role will be to support your clients in improving their work situation and the impact it may be having on their mental health. The average worker in the UK will spend over 3,500 full days of their life in work. Being out of work, or having problems in the workplace, can be a significant source of distress and a detriment to wellbeing. Organised, yet adaptable, and able to work with a varied workload. Able to work collaboratively, both with clients, but also your peers and supervisor. Able to inspire and engage people to help them identify and overcome the obstacles and barriers they may be facing. Empathetic in your approach and be able to identify barriers and understand client needs. Keen to develop and learn new skills and knowledge.
