Job summary

We are seeking a qualified and motivated High Intensity Psychological Therapist to join our team. The post holders will provide high intensity interventions - predominantly Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). They will work with individuals who have a range of complex Anxiety and Depression related problems for which CBT is demonstrated to be clinically effective.

Main duties of the job

You will hold a Clinical Qualification in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy; typically the Post-Graduate Diploma in CBT or in High Intensity Psychological Therapies. We also welcome applications from candidates who have other Post-Graduate qualifications in an IAPT appropriate evidence based therapy. We welcome applications from trainees approaching formal qualification in any of the above.

Job Description Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week (applications for part time hours will be considered) Service opening hours: Monday-Thursday 8am-8pm; Friday 8am-5pm; Saturday 9am-1pm Salary: £ 43,742 - £ 50,056 per annum (NHS AfC Band 7) Location: Hybrid (office based/remote) - Blyth base when in the office. About the role We are seeking a qualified and motivated High Intensity Psychological Therapist to join our team. We offer training opportunities in a secondary High Intensity modality (Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Couples Therapy for Depression). We also have 4 clinical CPD events planned for 2024/25. The post holders will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary, and should be committed to equal opportunities. About you You will hold a Clinical Qualification in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy; typically the Post-Graduate Diploma in CBT or in High Intensity Psychological Therapies. We also welcome applications from candidates who have other Post-Graduate qualifications in an IAPT appropriate evidence based therapy. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to work within a high volume, performance managed service, manage your own caseload and time and be an effective communicator both in written and verbal communication.
