Job summary

As a Recovery Worker, you will be required to provide a high quality, recovery focused support to individuals who have a range of mental health needs as well as other support needs including learning disabilities, physical health issues and substance misuse, whilst promoting independence and social inclusion. You will work alongside other professionals to achieve the best person-centred care, promote independence, and achieve personal outcomes.

About you You will be competent in working alone and as part of a team, with proven ability to identify barriers, understand need and support people to achieve their goals. You will be able to inspire, engage and motivate people. The role will include one to one engagement, administrative tasks, sign posting and engaging people in other community based provision. You will have experience of working with people with a variety of complex needs including mental health, learning, physical and substance misuse within a community based, mental health setting. Your knowledge of working within a community-based service will have equipped you with the relevant communication and interpersonal skills required for the role. A driving license is essential due to the nature of the role. It is essential that you hold a NVQ Health and Social Care level 3 or equivalent or be willing to work towards.
