Job summary
As a Mental Health Recovery Worker, you will be required to provide a high quality, recovery focused support to individuals who have a range of mental health needs as well as other support needs including learning disabilities, physical health issues and substance misuse, whilst promoting independence and social inclusion. We are passionate about delivering recovery focused support to people who use our services. You will be competent in working alone and as part of a team.
Main duties of the job
As a Mental Health Recovery Worker, you will be required to provide a high quality, recovery focused support to individuals who have a range of mental health needs as well as other support needs including learning disabilities, physical health issues and substance misuse, whilst promoting independence and social inclusion. We are passionate about delivering recovery focused support to people who use our services. You will be competent in working alone and as part of a team. With experience of working within a community based, mental health setting, you should be able to inspire, engage and motivate people. With the proven ability to identify barriers, understand need and support people to achieve their goals the role will include one to one engagement, facilitating activities within the service and community, administrative tasks, sign posting and engaging people in other provision. You will work alongside Peer Support Workers (PSW) and professionals to achieve the best person-centered care, promote independence, and achieve personal outcomes. Either through, joint working with other services to support them to make reasonable adjustments or PSW so service users can learn and practice skills.
