Main duties of the job

Working as a part of a team of Senior Employment Advisors, you will work closely with mental health workers, partners, and other agencies. The role involves line management of a small team of Employment Advisors including responsibility for implementing relevant aspects of MHM HR policies. Our Talking Therapies service has strong clinical and operational teams, offering skilled support and focusing on clinical and service development and innovative practice. Job responsibilities

Hours: 37.5 hours per week Salary: £28.500 per annum, with progression to £31,500 per annum Location: Southend, Essex and within the locality, relevant expenses will be paid This is a great opportunity within MHM, and one where you will make a real and direct difference to the lives of people who face mental health challenges. You will support people in obtaining and retaining paid or voluntary employment, whilst working for a passionate and inspiring organisation, within a supportive team. NHS Talking Therapies offers a variety of therapeutic interventions for depression, anxiety, stress, and other mental health related problems. Our service works with people over the age of 16 and has several bases across the locality. About the role Working as a part of a team of Senior Employment Advisors, you will work closely with mental health workers, partners, and other agencies. The role involves line management of a small team of Employment Advisors including responsibility for implementing relevant aspects of MHM HR policies. Our Talking Therapies service has strong clinical and operational teams, offering skilled support and focusing on clinical and service development and innovative practice. About you You will have experience of working within employment and knowledge of employment rights, job retention is also a key component. You will demonstrate an ability to prioritise a diverse workload and manage this effectively. You will understand the principles of the Equalities Act 2010 and how it relates to employment rights. You will be educated to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in the areas of Advice and Guidance, Health and Social Care or Customer Service. An awareness and/or experience of working with people who have experienced mental health issues would be an advantage. You will be able to demonstrate the skills and abilities needed to help others identify and overcome employment barriers. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to demonstrate a proactive and highly motivated attitude. The role will include travel across the area and access to your own transport is essential (relevant expenses will be paid). Please refer to the attached job description for further details.
