Main duties of the job
The purpose of this role is to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high quality Contraception and Sexual Health services to the local community, in line with excellent clinical practice, maximising CASH clinical skills, whilst exercising effective leadership skills.
Essential criteria
Experience in both Contraception and Sexual Health work with specialist knowledge.
Experience of working autonomously, undertaking holistic assessments and competing care episodes within local and national guidelines
Experience of working within patient group directions Able to work within Child Protection and Safeguarding legislation and guidelines including organisational safeguarding policies
A first level Registered Nurse or Midwife with current NMC Registration Must hold a recognised contraception qualification (DFSRH / ENB 901 or equivalent academic accreditation)
Must hold the Sexually Transmitted Infection Foundation, Intermediate Integrated Course, equivalent academic course, in-house competency, or willingness to work towards
Competent in the removal and insertion of subdermal Implants and hold the Letter of Competence in Subdermal Implants, or must complete SDI training within 6 months of commencing post
