Job summary

Richard House Childrens Hospice, based in East London, provides palliative care to children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions across London. From the moment a child is diagnosed with a life-limiting, life-threatening or complex health condition everything changes. These changes affect the whole family, which is why we feel it is vital not only to provide care to the child but to support the whole family and to help families choose when, where and how they receive care. Main duties of the job

We are recruiting for Head of Care to join our amazing and dedicated team at Richard House. This is a wonderful opportunity to lead and be part of our Care team to provide holistic, family-centred, quality care at our peaceful, woodland hospice based in the multi-cultural borough of Newham. The Head of Care will be responsible for the operational leadership and development of the Care Team. They deputise for the Director of Care and are responsible for the line management of the clinical team to ensure the highest standards of care are delivered and always maintained. About us

Richard House was Londons first childrens hospice. It was founded by our Life-President Anthea Hare, who was inspired by both her experience as a Paediatric Nurse and helping her parents to look after her severely autistic brother. Role overview

We are recruiting for Head of Care to join our amazing and dedicated team at Richard House. This is a wonderful opportunity to lead and be part of our Care team to provide holistic, family-centred, quality care at our peaceful, woodland hospice based in the multi-cultural borough of Newham.

The Head of Care will be responsible for the operational leadership and development of the Care Team. They deputise for the Director of Care and are responsible for the line management of the clinical team to ensure the highest standards of care are delivered and always maintained.

We are looking for someone who is experienced in providing a strong and visible leadership culture to managers as well as the wider team. With substantial experience in managing large teams, the post holder will have a pivotal role leading and managing the clinical team, improving patient experience, building, and maintaining the quality control systems and service development.
