Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Auditor to join our busy and dynamic Quality team.Working with the Clinical Governance & Quality team and the Operations team, the Clinical Auditor is responsible for undertaking clinical audit to improve the quality of care delivered to our patients. This includes examining the appropriateness of the management and treatment pathways given to the patients.
Main duties of the job
The Clinical Auditor will strive to improve patient care through clinical audit by designing and setting-up projects; collecting, inputting, and analysing data, writing reports, and formulating recommendations for changes to practice. Providing 1:1 feedback to Clinicians working within EBPC Services concerning their individual audit results.

Job responsibilities
Co-ordinate and manage clinical audit projects which includes setting up a project. timetable that is achievable and meets the projects methodology.
Plan data collection, inputting, analysis, and report writing so that reports are delivered according to the proposed timescales.
Review, interpret and extract information from a variety of sources as required to collect data.
Set-up spreadsheets and accurately input data for each project.
Conduct literature searches and obtain relevant references.
Undertake explorative data analysis, using qualitative and quantitative statistical analysis techniques.
Interpret findings to develop recommendations for changes to clinical practice.
Report progress and present findings to the Quality team.
Provide timely constructive 1:1 feedback to Clinicians working within EBPC services concerning their individual audit results.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of ongoing clinical audit projects.
Assist in the development of future clinical audit activities.
Contribute to other improvement projects as necessary.

Anticipate communication barriers and act to improve communication.
Utilise and demonstrate sensitive communication styles to ensure patients are fully informed and consent to treatment.
Always ensure privacy and dignity for patients.
Provide effective communication with all staff and external stakeholders to exchange and disseminate information.

Promote evidence based clinical practice according to current guidelines and maintain an appreciation of current legal and professional issues.

This post will require you to hold a current DBS Certificate which EBPC make application for every three years. The EBPC is currently working in a climate of great change within the healthcare sector. It is therefore expected that all staff will develop flexible working practices within EBPC and across the health network and at other organisation levels as appropriate, to be able to meet the challenges and opportunities of working within the new healthcare environment.
Mobility
The post holder will be expected to work at any establishment at any time throughout the duration of their contract, within the location of EBPC as agreed with the post holder.
