Job summary
Berkshire Primary Care is looking for skilled, self motivated nurses or registered healthcare professionals to deliver Covid and Flu vaccinations from our hub to patients from Ascot, Bracknell& district and Braccan PCN's.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will be responsible for the safe and effective delivery of vaccines to patients in the hub environment working as part of a team under PGD. There may also be an opportunity to work in the community vaccinating housebound patients.
You must be a confident practitioner, skilled in working with frail patients, and have previous Covid and Flu vaccination experience.
Statutory and mandatory training requirements will be advise upon application.

- Registered nurse or healthcare professional qualified to deliver vaccines independently (PGD)
- Experience working as part of a team.
- Working knowledge of health and safety, including the safe transport of medication and adherence to cold chain procedures.
- Strong communication skills.
- Approachable and able to respond to the needs of frail patients.
- Used to working independently and self-motivated.
- Ability to assess and respond to risks or unexpected events with sound clinical reasoning.
- Working knowledge of Mental Capacity and its application in practice.
- Trained and competent in managing anaphylaxis.
