Job summary
The Retreat Clinics York is seeking a sessional clinician experienced in providing autism assessments to children and young adults.
As an experienced registered professional with autism assessment training and experience you will be responsible for the assessment process of young people who require assessment to ascertain if they would meet the criteria for a diagnosis of autism.
You will
- Undertake ADOS, ADIR assessments predominately face to face in our children, young people service.
- Write up assessment reports in a clear and concise manner, working to timelines for completion of assessments and submission of reports.
- Ensure high quality interaction and assessment of children/adults and families referred to the service.
- Form part of the MDT for discussion and quality assurance of report
You must have
- Professional Registration and qualification relevant to role (NMC, SWE or HCPC)
- Post registration experience working within a service with children and young people with autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions.
- An ability to undertake assessments and confidence in delivering feedback on assessment outcome to individuals and family members.
- ADOS or ADIR Trained.
- Ability to deliver face to face assessment at our dedicated Children's Service in York.
You will be supported as a professional and as an individual, with consideration of your current capacity, preferences, and expertise when you are offered cases.
