The Retreat is a world-renowned mental health clinic based in York and Manchester working with clients across the UK and we are currently seeking a Specialist Administrator to work 4 days a week, Tuesday to Friday within our Adult Neurodevelopmental Service on a 12-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.

We have a long and distinguished reputation for being innovators and world leaders in the field of modern mental health care providing high quality, sustainable services for both adults and children, including neurodevelopmental conditions, stress, depression, anxiety, eating disorders and obsessive compulsive disorders.

It is essential that you have experience in a similar role; you will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor communications to clients who may have neurodevelopmental conditions.

About us

Our history

The Retreat was founded by Quakers in York in 1792 and for over 200 years it has been a source of hope, comfort, support, and care for people with mental health difficulties.

Every textbook on the history of mental illness mentions the unique part played by The Retreat in the reshaping of attitudes. This approach of innovation and humane care endures to this day and is something which we feel privileged to continue.
