Sessional Therapists and Psychologists
This job is now closed
Job summary
The Retreat is a world-renowned mental health clinic working with clients across the UK. We have a long and distinguished reputation for being innovators in the field of mental health care, from a pioneering start in 1792 to the present day, where we continue to build our services around the needs of our clients. The Retreat operates both remotely and from bases in York (including Heslington and Strensall) and Manchester, providing high quality, sustainable services for adults, children, and young people.
The Adults Psychological Therapies Service has supported a number of clients to make clinically significant improvements, and an overwhelming majority of clients rate the service as ‘Extremely Helpful’ – a humbling 88%. One hundred percent of our clients report that they are happy with the therapy they receive.
In addition to privately funded therapy for issues including bereavement, depression, anxiety, disordered eating, trauma, and obsessive-compulsive disorders, we offer some services free at the point of delivery, through contracts with NHS partners and charitable funding.
Main duties of the job
The Retreat is looking to recruit talented, clinically strong therapists and psychologists on a contractual basis, in order to meet the needs of our growing client base. We welcome applications from skilled and experienced self-employed people to work in clinic and/or remotely with an agreed caseload of clients. We are particularly interested in applications from therapists with specialist qualifications in CBT, EMDR, Couple Therapy and Psychodynamic therapy, and from clinicians experienced in working with trauma or more complex presentations.
If you’re driven by clinical excellence and outstanding results, if you measure your own achievement by that of your clients, and if you would like to work with an organisation that truly values the process, we would like to hear from you. You will be supported as a professional and as an individual, with consideration of your current capacity, preferences, and expertise when you are offered cases. You will receive support from our talented administrators, enabling you to concentrate on your clinical work.
If you would like to be a part of our history, please apply immediately. We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if sufficient volumes are received.
