At
The Retreat, you will be expected to work with clients presenting with a wide
range and complexity of psychological problems, individually or as a group, to
provide psychological therapy and assessment services.
Main duties of the job
You
will work in partnership with Senior Clinicians and the Clinical Lead to assess
new referrals by appropriate treatment models, as well as managing a caseload,
in keeping with our operational goals. You will be responsible for your own
professional self-regulation and accreditation, as well as abide by the legal
requirements and statutory rules relating to practice. You will use appropriate
and agreed evaluation and outcome measures, with the opportunity to reflect in
regular team meetings.
You
will have access to clinical supervision and we will support you to engage in
promotional and educational activity so that our work can reach the people who
need it most.

- Doctorate level qualification or extensive post-qualification training and accreditation with an appropriate professional body
Experience

- Experience in working with at least one specialism, such as PTSD, complex trauma, eating disorders, OCD.
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of how to implement evaluation of services and research activity
- Experience of using outcomes measures to evaluate own clinical practice
- Self-motivated & organised with the ability to work & stay calm under pressure
- Ability to deal with distressing or emotional circumstances and take care of own well-being on a very regular and frequent basis
- Computer literacy, including knowledge of all word packages and the ability to learn and work with other software packages.
Desirable
- Knowledge of and skills in an appropriate therapy modality with a specialism relevant to the requirements of The Retreat
- Training and experience in clinical supervision
