Job summary

The Retreat are recruiting Assistant Psychologists for both our Adult Autism and Adult ADHD Services. These posts are offered on a 12 month fixed term basis. We are looking for dynamic enthusiastic individuals who have a passion for working within the field of neurodiversity. You will assist the appropriate professional to carry out therapeutic interventions with individuals or groups. You will apply a range of psychological tools to support and inform the collation of data, including the use of psychometric instruments, direct observational measures and interview techniques, which in turn will inform clinical practice and support the monitoring of individual and service outcomes.

Main duties of the job

You will be involved with MDTs, audit, research, psychological reports and service evaluation under the supervision and guidance of a qualified professional, and you will be supported by a dedicated, inspiring and passionate team, who will value your achievements and support you to achieve your goals. Qualifications

Essential

  • An upper second-class honours degree or higher degree in psychology or equivalent.
  • Eligibility for graduate basis of registration of the British Psychological Society

Experience

Essential

  • - Experience of working with a people with either neurodevelopmental conditions or mental health conditions
  • - Experience of working as part of a team
  • - IT skills with the capability to produce reports, graphs, charts and databases.
  • - High level communication skills (written and verbal
  • - Ability to accept and use supervision appropriately and effectively

  • - Experience of presenting and/or teaching to others
  • - Ability to work independently, reliably and consistently with work agreed and managed at regular intervals
  • - An ability to manage multiple demands to meet agreed deadlines
