Main duties of the job

With responsibility for a small team of three, as Head of Data & Digital Innovation, you will provide strategic leadership across the hospices IT infrastructure, information governance, risk management, and data functions.

The successful candidate will:

  • A minimum of masters level education or equivalent demonstrable experience directly relevant to digital innovation and IT infrastructure management.
  • Extensive experience leading technical IT teams.
  • Demonstrable expertise in troubleshooting and resolving complex IT challenges across hardware, software, and network environments.
  • Proven experience managing IT resources, budgets, projects, and vendor relationships.
  • In-depth working knowledge of Information Governance, data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR), and cyber security principles.

The role is available 37 hours per week, Monday Friday, 8.30am 4.30pm (Friday 4pm finish), on a salary of £55,690 - £62,682 per annum. The role is office based with occasional home working.

The role may need to work the occasional evening or weekend when there is a specific business need, but advanced notice of this is usually provided. Time off in lieu is provided.

We provide a wide range of palliative care services to people with advancing life-limiting illnesses of any diagnosis and to those people important to them. The support we offer is tailored to meet individuals physical, social, spiritual and emotional needs.
