Job summary

We are looking to recruit a Clinical Practice Educator. This is a great opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Registered Nurse to support the education and development of clinical staff at the Hospice.This is a part time role working 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Salary:£19,515 - £22,227 per annum (pro rata of £36,102 - £41,119 per annum).

Main duties of the job

The Clinical Practice Educator role will involve developing, planning, delivering and evaluating the professional development of clinical staff. The successful candidate will play a critical role in continuously improving and developing hospice clinical services through innovation, education, collaboration and effective use of resources.

The post holder will work in collaboration with hospice teams to develop and deliver mandatory training, clinical skill competencies and service training, to ensure practice-based learning enhances expertise, effectiveness and end of life care provisions within the hospice.

We are looking for an appropriately qualified Registered Nurse, with proven experience of planning, delivering and evaluating education and training. Leadership and management qualifications would all be desirable, along with project management training or experience.

The successful candidate should demonstrate a good understanding of research, with an up-to-date knowledge of palliative care, as well as having a passion and commitment to the values of the hospice. You must be highly organised and have excellent communication and relationship building skills.

We provide a wide range of palliative care services to people with advancing life-limiting illnesses of any diagnosis and to those people important to them.
