Job summary

We are looking for an experienced Retail Manager on a fixed term contract for 18 months, who will be responsible of implementing an effective Retail Strategy to generate maximum income for the benefit of the Hospice. You will have overall responsibility for the management and co-ordination of the retail department, including shops, online sales, and driver function 7 days a week. You will ensure high standards of governance, compliance and controls are maintained. This role will promote the purpose and core values of the hospice and will act to promote public trust in the organisation. (The scope of this role covers all forms of retail income generation including shops, online sales, goods sold at auction, new goods and recycled waste.)

Main duties of the job

Salary: £34,587 - £36,315 per annum (Existing membership of the NHS pension scheme may be transferable to this post, if contributions have been made within the last 12 months.)

Hours: We are looking to recruit up to 37 hour per week Retail Manager on a fixed term contract for 18 months typically working Monday to Friday however flexibility to work outside of these hours is required on occasion.

We provide a wide range of palliative care services to people with advancing life-limiting illnesses of any diagnosis and to those people important to them. The support we offer is tailored to meet individuals physical, social, spiritual and emotional needs.
