Job summary
We are looking to appoint a Fundraising & Lottery Manager to implement an effective income generation strategy through overseeing
the planning and execution of fundraising events, campaigns and initiatives.
The successful candidate will have strong communication skills and be able to make hospice supporters feel valued and appreciated. To have the ability to motivate and inspire to drive the very best from the team. Good IT skills are essential.

Main duties of the job
- To implement an effective income generation strategy through overseeing
the planning and execution of fundraising events, campaigns and initiatives.
- To develop positive and ongoing relationships with individuals,
businesses, schools and community groups across the borough to maximise
fundraising potential and to raise awareness of the work of the hospice.
- To oversee the hospice lottery, ensuring compliance with legislative
requirements
- To line manage the fundraising and lottery team members and support volunteers
within the department.

To closely monitor the financial performance of
the department ensuring income levels are achieved and expenditure is kept
within agreed budgets
Salary: Salary for this role is £34,587 - £36,315 per annum.
Hours: 37 Hours per week Monday - Thursday 08:30 am -16:30 pm, Friday 08:30 - 16:00 pm

- Knowledge of the Charity sector, charity & fundraising governance and data protection law
- Excellent computer literacy skills including Microsoft Office packages
- Data analysis and interpretation skills
- An understanding of information governance and data protection
Desirable
- Knowledge of online fundraising platforms such as Justgiving
- Understanding of tax efficient giving such as Gift Aid.
Experience

- A minimum of three years people management experience within a fundraising or similar department
- Experience of working in fundraising events, marketing management or related role.
- Experience of financial reporting and managing budgets
- Experience of planning, meeting and exceeding targets
- Experience of using a fundraising database or similar CRM system to manage relationships (preferably Donorflex)
- Experience of working with all aspects of media including press, web, radio, social & online
Desirable
- Experience of managing large scale events including organisation and planning, marketing and recruitment, risk assessments and post event evaluation.
- Experience of managing a marketing or community campaign
