Dougie Mac are currently looking to recruit Registered Nurses to our developing Young Adult Service. Successful candidates will share our passion in providing excellent holistic and person-centred care to young adults and their families.

Main duties of the job
- To work as an integral part of the Young Adult Team: assessing, implementing and evaluating nursing care for service users living with palliative or complex health conditions.
- Lead and coordinate shifts.
- To complete a wide range of clinical interventions.
- To act as a mentor / role model to Care Support Workers.
- Supervise and support student nurses and nursing associates.
- To act as Keyworker to a small caseload of young adults.
- To support young adults in all aspects of living their lives, including support with activities of daily living, social and leisure opportunities.

Desirable
- Completion of PARE Supervisor Preparation and Guidance.

- Experience of working with service users who have additional communication needs, learning disabilities and / or physical health needs.
- Transferable nursing knowledge and skills that can be adapted to caring for young adults living with life limiting conditions / complex health needs.
- Experience of coordinating shifts / delegating tasks.
Desirable
- Experience of multi-agency working with health colleagues, social care, and the voluntary sector.
- Experience in caring for adults or children with complex health needs or palliative healthcare needs.
- Experience of supervising / mentoring others.
