Job summary

Education is a crucial enabler to the future of the NHS. This post will support the relationship between the Hammersmith and Fulham Training Hub and the Primary Care Networks.

Within this role you will have the opportunity to support the Training Hub and Primary Care Networks by ensuring there is a focus on quality in the delivery of training and education for the nursing family in primary care; acting as a champion and providing visible leadership to support the delivery strategies of the NHS Long Term Plan and Local Strategies.

As a Nurse Educator you will represent the general practice nursing workforce and be a link with the Training Hub Team for engagement, awareness, training needs, recruitment and supporting career development.

Main duties of the job

As part of this role, your key deliverables will include:

Support in the development, support and embedding of new roles across Hammersmith and Fulham.

Establishing placements for students at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Implementation of clinical and support role of clinical apprenticeships in General Practice and within PCNs.

Co-ordination, commissioning and quality management of the education and training provision in the local system including CPD.

Ensuring multi-professional education and development opportunities are optimised across the North West London system, including supporting the development of multidisciplinary training practices.

As a registered nurse you will possess knowledge of the professional standards and an understanding of primary care, the primary care workforce and the primary care stakeholder organisations (e.g., HEE, STP, Federations, CCGs & PCNs).
