Experience

Essential

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, inspiring participation and showing diplomacy, persuasiveness and credibility.
  • Demonstrable experience of donor or customer care with the ability to build relationships with people at all levels.
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office packages.
  • Approachable with excellent interpersonal and team-working skills.
  • Excellent organisational, administrative, planning and time management skills.
  • Flexible, adaptable and able to work on own initiative.
  • Resilience and ability to work calmly under pressure and deliver results to a high standard.
  • Problem solver and flexible creative thinker.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to deal sensitively with patients, carers and supporters.
  • Ability to manage a variety of tasks concurrently.
  • Confident in presenting to different individuals and organisations.

Desirable

  • Experience of working in a fundraising or customer facing environment.
  • Previous experience of using a customer relationship, or donor management database. We use Raisers Edge.
  • Experience of working with volunteers

Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
  • Full driving licence and access to vehicle for business use

Desirable

  • Fundraising or customer service training or qualifications.
